I thought I'd bite the bullet and pay for Adobe CC even after feeling bitterly and royally shafted over CS2 and then again with CS5.

So, I tried to download the trial and it fails half way through with Error Code 1.

I've followed Adobe's suggestions, tried the CC cleaner, updated Windows, booted in safe mode and tried and tried and it just will not load and gives Error Code 1 every single time.

The internet seems full of suggestions and fixes that don't work so I just wondered if anyone here has hit this problem and has a real world solution that actually works.

PC running Windows 7 BTW.

Possibly try a different browser?

With windows is there an option of 32 & 64 bit, not sure if it makes a difference if you use the wrong one for your machine but maybe worth looking at.

Otherwise, it maybe worth trying the on-line chat with an Adobe employee.

Thanks.

I've tried two browsers.

I think what's probably happening is it's seeing an existing file it doesn't like or doesn't want to overwrite, maybe something in my existing CS5. That's what I think may be happening but surely other people with CS5 will have upgraded... You'd think so...

They've offered to remotely look at my pc and that looks like the best option as they should know what file or files upsets their download.

I had that problem with a Win 8.1 64 bit laptop.I temporarily disabled my McAfee , and worked ok .
