'no adjustment' photo printing??

Hi all, well...after having sent off about 100 photos to be printed for my own display use around the office and studio walls, I was so so so sadly surprised when they all arrived :(.
All of them had been 'adjusted' by the company, I use foto.com . I felt emberassed to say they were mine- all of their beauty had just fizzled out and they looked just like something with no soul, and made every technique used in the photos (i.e. lights, etc). turn against it and added to it's ugliness.
Was wonderingi if anyone knew of a photo printers that offered the 'no adjustment' option, so they'll print JUST as they are, no questions.

What a shame you had so many done. It does say on their site the photo's are automatically adjusted for contrast, sharpness and exposure.

I have been getting a couple done at a time with photobox, my prints were coming back dark, so I have had to adjust my monitor to compensate and the last couple were much better. I'm happy with the quality of prints and they are pretty cheap too :)

yea, i should've known theyd mess them up totally, theres a company in the states called adorama who do the best in the world when it comes to printing, with no colour adjustment, etc. but alas, dont send abroad :(:(:(
 
I've had no problems using http://www.photobox.co.uk/ When you sign up you get some free prints as well although I think you have to pay postage for them.

These guys do exactly that - print just what you provide them with -

They have a fanastic reputation locally and although I'm no expert I do know professionals that have started using them on a regular basis as well. Their main drawback is they won't accept any orders online but you can mail a CD to them and they'll mail your stuff back. From what I've seen so far they are amazingly cheap too, although I'm new to this lark so I might be wrong.

Could be worth a look anyway.
