Guys, I'm looking at the Nissin range for the odd occasion I use i-ttl. How decent are the optical slaves on these? Is the mark II 662 a real upgrade?

I'm no expert on flashes but am also looking for one at the moment. Take a look at the Yongnuo YN560. It's cheaper and from what I've read so far pretty decent.

I have two 560's, but they're manual only. I need something for HSS on occasions.

I had a Yongnuo flash that broke within a week so I decided to just get the Canon one. I have read many good reviews about Nissin though.

I run two Di622's but they are canon mount, so I can only use them as optical slaves in manual.
I find them very easy to use and I know nothing about flash.

Just set the power you want on the back of the flash, pop up the on cam flash to commander and fire away.
I am thinking of selling them and buying the Nikon versions, as it would be handy to have Ittl when on camera on the odd occasion.

The build quality is fine, no complaints at all. Only 2 buttons, so very easy to set up and use.
