That's an original take on the theme; something you don't see much any more, unlike 40 years ago.
 
Week 18 - Sunrise/Sunset

Unfortunately the knee still isn't up to much, so this was taken as the sun was setting tonight, and we were seeing the last of the days sun in our back garden.


...and yes, I know I need to sort out the window frame. Its on the list ;)

Looks like a lovely shed Nick, I'd like to see it when it's not so shaded.
 
Reflection on the shed and chimney stack work for me as a sunset.
Hope the knee soon recovers.
 
That works very nicely Nick I love the subtle colours of the sunset reflection on the building.
 
Perhaps it's my PC but I feel it could be a little brighter. An atmospheric image nevertheless.
 
You've definitely captured the softness of the last light as the sun goes down.
 
Week 19 - Sport(s)

I saw an advert in our local paper about the Rotary Clubs annual Charity Abseiling event, from a Water Tower, and it gave me an idea for a shot. I wanted to make it look like the person was falling through the sky with no anchor point, which is why I didn't include any of the tower, just lots of negative space instead. Anyway, hope it works for you.

It worked, The Black against the Blue Sky is a nice contrast. I can see some dust or muck.

A fun shot Shirley, a little terrifying for me though, given my fear of heights... :D
 
I like the contrast against the blue sky and also the fact that he looks almost suspended in mid-air.
 
That works really well. It's kind of uncomfortable to look at, maybe because it's isolated from the wider context.

Sport: That's certainly a different shot! I like the negative space and the composition you have chosen. He does look a long way from anything solid!! :eek:
