Nikon_Nicks 52 for ‘22 - Added Week 43 - Vehicle & Week 44 - Autumnal

Another kitchen set-up this week I'm afraid. Just didn't have the time to get out. So, this was a Secret Santa gift from a co-worker around 5 years ago, and this was the first time I had removed it from its packaging. I still didn't have the courage to actually smell it :) Probably smells like wet Wookie.

Anyway, I call this one Star Wars: The Cologne Wars...see what I did there? :p

Ha ha! I like the way you have managed to light the rim of the glass. Is it a red light? I also like the positioning within the frame.
Nothing wrong with a kitchen set up :)

Thank you :) I used an LED light panel and positioned it at around 45 degrees behind and to the left to get the outline like that.

Nice image, the lighting works well and I also like the way you've offset the bottle slightly.
 
The red side light fits the image and the Slight space at the right gives the stormtrooper something to view.
Good set up.
 
The lighting is really nice, and the red-black fade in the background looks classy.

Thanks. Well they need to turn their attention to something worthwhile. They can’t shoot for toffee, so charitable work is a much better idea.
 
Very nicely lit and composed. Can't beat a bit of Star Wars......
 
I'd have been tempted to put that into the next Secret Santa ;) . Nicely lit.. takes the edge off!

The problem with their shooting is that it's set "a long time ago" so their MG34/42 guns haven't been invented yet. :P ;) Bu99ers to shoot from the hip too, I'd imagine!
 
I found a really old tree stump in the woods near my house, and thought the shapes/lines were really interesting to look at. So, here's an old stump for my week 5 pick.

I like it Shirley, some might say that it goes against the grain but I thinking it's a barking good image... :D

That’s lovely Nick. I like the diagonal composition and the colours and textures you’ve brought out.
 
I'm a sucker for the textures seen in old wood so that's a winner by my book!

I really like this, theres something about wood I find fascinating, this image shows the textures and colours of a slowly decaying piece of timber.

Thank you :) I took about 70 shots at various angles and liked this one the most. It was definitely fascinating looking it over.
