Nikon_Nicks 52 for ‘22 - Added Week 43 - Vehicle & Week 44 - Autumnal

Love shot that Nick.

Very old, very deep and moving. Bursting with history how Ivy takes over. Spot on.

Nice subject. Possibly lighten the gravestones and darken the background to give more focus.

Great processing on the grave stones, the colours look great.

Interesting that you went for a filmic feel to the shot, I felt it almost had the beginnings of the 'toy' feel that Tilt Shift often has (though not quite).
Ha ha nice!

I see what you mean about the tilt shift feel, but I’ve added nothing in the edit to give that effect, it was taken at 105mm and f4, so all natural DOF (y)

The composition and dof work really well with the light on the tree branch - they concentrate the eye on the stones. I really like this shot.

Had a little set up in the kitchen today. LED light panel, so that I could achieve some visible streaks. Tripod, and shot taken at 2.5 seconds. Shutter opened, Waited a second, move the camera, shutter closed. Hope you like it.

That really is impressive. The camera movement works very well.
Did you do it handheld or use some kind of moving platform?

Thanks David. Camera was mounted on a tripod with a panning head, so I just loosened it off then just rotated the head.

Excellent image Shirley. I'd be interested to see it without the blue tint.

That's a fab shot!

I thought there were two glasses until I notice the light streaks joining them together. Nice shot and very good technique too.
I must admit, when I first saw it I thought, "That was lucky that the ICM started on one glass and then ended on the other" I almost posted it too when I realised...

Very imaginative and technically really well produced. It creates quite a striking image.
