What bird is that, Bill? Looks like a nice shot to me although I'm just getting into bird and nature photography. What are you struggling with re. the ZF? I absolutely love mine for all genres. We have the same problem with Starlings. We have probably a dozen finches, several Blue Tits and goodness knows how many Starlings. Together (mainly the Starlings), they've eaten nearly 5KG of bird food in less that 4 weeks.
It's a Jackdaw Duncan, wasn't really a "bird shot" as he/she/it was on the house roof above me ........ a family of them in the Street, and they seems to have been here for some years
I suppose I'm used to the size of the D850 when sticking long lens on the camera, it, for me the D850/D810 feels a lot better all around - size, controls, etc.. but I did not really buy the Zf for birds, I just wanted to try a Nikon mirrorless, DSLR style ....... but I have come from the D300/D700/D7100/D800/810/750 and finally the D850
(PS - Jackdaws are 'protected" in England, but not in Scotland or Wales - strange?)
