Nikon V2 -> One ugly camera

And they have changed the battery, altough the controls look to be better and the 32 mm f1.2 lens looks nice.:)

Would be nice if Nikon learnt from their competitors. Hmmm, this or a NEX/Panny/Oly.

It is a bit of a minger isn't it. Shame as the V1 is a really stylish design in my opinion.

Its also bloody huge, what is the point?

Funny looking bit of kit, wonder what it feels like hands on?

I'm a fan of Nikon design usually but that's pretty awful.

Won't be on my Christmas list this year!

I wonder if the NEX 7 had any influence on the design?

It can't me much smaller than the D3200?

I'm certainly not feeling any love for it.

Couldnt have made it uglier if they had dipped it in a deep fat fryer for twenty minutes.

The only thing missing is the 'LEGO' sign on the front! ;)

It is a tad ..... squarish.

That said, I'd still go for a decently performing ugly camera than a stylish but ***** camera.
I've got a shelf full of sexy but non-functioning cameras if I just want to pose.

IMO one of the ugliest camera designs ever produced, but if its it good that's all that really matters.

Rounded was so Noughties. Welcome back square.

edit: I think it's quite funky (in black).

It's made by Nikon, so what else did you expect? :)

SLR wise I think Nikon have been coming up with the best looking cameras for the last couple of decades besides maybe Leica.

This camera and the one series generally don't seem to bring any of those "curved but solid" looks across although personally I think the system as a whole h-still looks like something of a rushed job.

looks alright to me a bit cryton red dwarfish though but I quite like it

Don't think it looks too bad, I wouldn't turn one down if they were to offer it to me.

It may be the beginning of a new design fetish
look at some of the cars they have designed that have gone on to be voted car of the year
fiat multipla

I remember the introduction of the jelly mound ugly ford sierra in 1982 and they sold one or 2 of those over the years

But having reviewed the car of the year for the past ten years Im convinced that award is a joke!

agreed, not a great looking camera
the square retro look works for smaller kit
maybe the designer popped out and their kid was left in the office with some lego...(look daddy a made a camera!!! click click!) and someone made a mistake.....!!

Ugliest car ever!

it certainly ranks in the top 3 but it won car f the year and was top gears car of the year God help us all
There were people out there that actually bought one

How many of those have you seen on the road? Exactly..

Damn, my wife is beginning to look like a Nikon. Time to upgrade.

there were lots when they first came out not seen many recently which is a blessing lol
I wonder what possessed people to buy one it certainly wasn't it's looks

I reckon the Nikon and Multipla have "character" - both are probably better to use than to look at.

But the Rodius and Aztec are just wrong. They're a perfect illustration of what happens when you ask a team of yes-men or the mentally fragile to design something.
