Yes
I am upgrading to a D90 from a D5000 and just want to check up on lens compatibility - D5000 doesn't have an in-body motor, D90 does, do my Nikon lenses work just the same? I have a selection of zooms and a new 35mm 1.8 prime that I bought for my D5000 (and original D60). Would hate to get to this point and discover new glass was needed!!.. :help:

To answer the question, yes all will work just fine.

But upgrade? I don't think a 90-->5000 is an upgrade. You're loosing the focus motor, a scroll wheel, a couple direct control buttons, remote flash, and not gaining anything that I'm aware of. They are the same generation sensor and processor.

thanks,
rick

Rick, he's going the other way - D5000 to a D90 ;)

Thanks all, yes definitely going from D5000 to D90. Can't wait!

Thinking of this upgrade myself. Or would I be better saving extra and going for D7000/D300s? I am starring to use of camera flash plus being able to use more lenses would be great too.
