Just wanted to say im really impressed with the customer service from Nikon and Park.

The trade in of my Canon kit is being done through Park Cameras as they were able to offer the best deal on the trade in.

To save me a 9hr round trip to collect the Nikon kit from them Park are going to have the kit delivered to my door and collect the Canon gear at the same time

Because Nikon have low stock of the D3S and dont expect any until April, they are going to Loan me the D3S until they have the bodies in stock :D which means i wont miss any matches during the switchover.

Pretty happy chappy

That's pretty good customer service! What made you make the switch?

several reasons really.

One the problems i had with my MKIII'S,

Two the fact that Nikon have now taken the lead when it comes to kit aimed at Sports/Action photographers

Three the cost to me of making the switch will be less than half a MKIV  and i actually see a switch to full frame for sports as an advantage over a crop sensor, but then again i am a bit :cuckoo:

I have bought a few things from Park Cameras and been mostly happy with them. They refuse to give the tracking number for despatched goods which I find odd.

Got my D3S two days ago... well impressed! Enjoy!!

I love mine, you will definitely enjoy it :D

BTW Nikon spare batteries at best value at Amazon (from what I found) just a touch under £89  I decided that as I couldn't find any 3rd party ones with 2500mAh or more (i.e. same spec as Nikon) I had to go for the Nikon ones.

Id rather stick to the Nikon ones

I would say that is wise, Andy.

Batteries can fail in ways that cause damage and the pedigree of 3rd party batteries is unknown.
I don't see it is worth the risk of damaging a camera that costs hundreds, if not thousands of pounds for the sake of saving a few quid on a spare battery.
