Hi,
After 10-15 years with canon, I've moved to Nikon and am now trying to reconfigure my mind to work with ittl.
I read the manual late last night & took a few test shots but didn't achieve the expected results.
Are there any good online resources you could recommend? Concise primers?
Anything I should know about how the flash interacts with the body in specific shooting modes (mainly used are aperture priority or manual)?
Prioritising ambient.
Main body d810, flash sb-910

Thanks!

Joe McNally is the Daddy with all things Nikon TTL. He also uses the same setup as you. (well, multiple speedlights) I highly recommend his 'language of light' dvd. Very informative indeed.

What are you trying to achieve and how is it not as expected?

Get Joe's book 'the hotshoe diaries'

IIRC the big difference is that when using FEC you have to do a balancing act with Nikon, it always sounds so much more complicated than with Canon.

Thanks chaps. Joe McNally indeed. I'm sure I picked up a copy several years ago, but thought it too Nikon centric in my canon days. I'll see if I can find it again.
I'll have a play around and another read when I'm more awake and get back with any specific queries.
Cheers.
