I downloaded the Nikon Transfer and Capture NX2 (Trial) this morning, everything seemed to go well until I tried to get the images from the camera (D300s).

I hit the Start Transfer button but the programme just sat there, seemingly doing nothing.

Any help or advice would be most welcome.

Have you had a previous version of Nikon Transfer on your computer, or removed a previous version?...I had this prob. after I uninstalled the earlier version that came with my D70s, and uploaded the newer version that was supplied with the D300....It just wouldn't work until I borrowed back the install disc from the D70s and put it back on..I was getting a message CCC runtime library error. This may help!......I should add that this baffled Nikon Tec. Services, who supplied me with new discs, neither of which worked, until the original prog. was re-installed.

Thanks for the reply PS, never had Nikon software on my PC before. Always used Lightroom and CS4.

I downloaded both the Transfer and the trial version of Capture NX2 this morning for the first time.

Uninstall, run a reg cleaner , restart and re install will usually work........Seemples!!!!

Sometimes mine does this - I just unplug and plug-in the car-reader again - if that fails, re-boot the computer...

If that fails then try to re-install the program...

I'm trying to read direct from the camera but no luck.

I've re-installed the programme, re-booted the PC, plugged and unplugged the USB cable, still nothing showing. No thumbnails showing and nothing in the transfer queue.

In that case, try using a decent card-reader - it'll be faster as well...
Sandisk make good, fast ones...

Thanks for the help.
