Nikon SU800 + Metz flashguns

Can I use the SU800 with Metz 48 and 58 flashguns in the Nikon wireless mode
Like the idea of the SU800 as it has 3 groups instead of 2 on my D80 for more versitile lighting and the Metz are a good bit cheeper
Also would it be possible to use the SU800 with my Nikon FM2n film camera

I'm pretty sure that the SU800 won't work with the Metz. Never used it myself and never seen one being used either.

As long as the Metz guns are the Nikon CLS compatible models I can't see any reason why they wouldn't.... they obviously use the same communication as SB600/800/900...
