Nikon Stationary???

I know this is a bit late, and off topic... But is it just me for whom the web address on the back of the NPU card??

I wonder if it's anything to do with the camera you register?

Mine was the lowly D300s and apart from the NPU plastic card, I got b****r all, not even a registration pack. Even the Nikon brochure that came with the card/letter was for the Coolpix models.

Does the magazine you've all mentioned come through the post? All that's listed in my letter is a monthly email newsletter.

I received my 1st pack with my D300, I then upgraded to the D3. I only received another when I renewed my membership and changed address.
 
What is this NPU?? Is it Nikon Owner magazne or something?? I'm considering subscribing to Nikon owner,.........
 
Just looked at the qualifying list, they have taken the speedlights off !!!
I didn't apply they automatically contacted me when I registered the gear, and that was the D200
 
The speedlights only qualify for NPS, not NPU - it's always been that way since I first became an NPU.
 
ohhh so you gotta have professional gear? D300s +?
 
NPU == Own 2 pieces of kit from this list, including one body.

NPS == Be a full time pro, and own 6 pieces of kit from the drop down lists on the application at this URL, including 2 bodies.
 
I got a really nice padded leather zipped "Nikon" folder thing when I bought my D700 from Digital Depot oh and a Nikon beanie hat when I bought my 24-70. I am in the NPU and now the professional one with the quick repair guarantee etc, I get the magazines but have never seen any notepads, pens etc. I got a Canon one at Focus :naughty:
 
I asked what the "pack" was and this was Nikon's reply:

Thank you for contacting Nikon regarding the NPU membership,

The welcome pack for this scheme usually consists of the membership card and some brochures, if there is a current issue of the Nikon Pro magazine this is sent as well, as there is not a current issue the magazine will be sent to the postal address on your account when the new issue comes out.

The other advantages of NPU membership are:

Think of the American Nikon buyers, they don't even get the NPU scheme poor sods.

Just a massive discount when they buy their cameras. I know which I'd prefer.
