Some good tips in there, but it still has the feeling of being a 'Nikon/Duracell Propaganda inc.' production.

Except that the "Nikon Help Hotline" is one guy, in his bedroom making videos and has nothing whatsoever to do with Nikon![]()
. He probably runs an ebay store, selling Duracell batteries. According to his report, it's "human error" to install rechargable batteries in an SB900 - that bit made me chuckle

Still, he's made some valid points about which functions drain the most current from this unit. I just didn't realise that the 'over-heating' problem referred solely to the heat from the batteries :shrug:. I had always assumed that the problem came from the front element overheating (it can get stupidly hot if you're using rapid succesive flashes :|). Just shows how little I really know.
