Nikon software & Snow Leopard

Having got a new imac with Snow leopard, I realise I can't use Nikon's View NX any more!
I've just found out Nikon haven't bothered to up date their own software so it runs on SL.

So what's the score on this sort of thing? Do software developers have to wait until the OP is released then make their software work on it? Seems a bit dumb if true :shrug:

if theyre anything like canon they didnt get a pre-release copy of SL from apple to develop drivers from.

Ive used one of the previous builds of Snow Leopard not the release but a couple prior to and it worked well. I actually did not pre-order since I will go by my copy at the Cube.
