Trying to get this configured from new D3400 to iPad and iPhone with no joy. All equipment up to date with latest firmwares etc. Watched a ton of videos etc on YouTube etc, and I’m usually quite good at cracking these type of issues. But gave up after 3 hours of messing.

Anyone had any success? Appears to be widespread derision out there for the app and Nikon’s attitude toward putting some efforts behind it.

Simple question is, have you downloaded snapbridge APP yet, Sorry I know it seems a silly question.
 
No such thing as a silly question Graham, only silly answers!

Anyway, yes, have the latest apps loaded on iPad and iPhone. I contacted Nikon support and they confirmed that the latest version of SB (2.03) doesn’t work with latest iOS 11.2.5.

They said there is an update coming (of course), but wouldn’t say when.
 
Works fine on Android so must just be an iOS thing. It is great when it does work !
