Does anyone have the D700/SB900 and SD9 battery pack.
Where did you get the SD9 from please and what do you think of the combination.

I have all of the items you've mentioned.

I think I bought my one from Park Cameras, or Clifton Cameras.

The combination is good - there isn't really another combination that's going to perform better to be honest other than a different camera... The SB900 lasts for ages and I can hammer the flash on full power and it just goes on and on... I'd recommend buying at least 1, maybe 2 more trays to house the batteries so if you need to swap, you can do it instantly. (I have no idea where to buy an extra tray, i'm trying to find somewhere)

I use Uniross 2700 rechargable batteries as well.

The SD-9 it damn expensive for what it is though... Some people go for those Quantum(?) battery packs, but i've heard mixed reviews about this.

Thanks Kris looks good and presumably cheaper than the Nikon one.
Will do a search on Ebay.
