I know the image quality is far from perfect but just look at the zoom,plenty of youtube vids showing moon shots and landscape zooming.no stock in uk either lol

Rang jessops today,they said there has been a recall because of a problem,not sure if that is fact,but he did say you will be lucky to get one this side of Christmas

Not heard of any recall and i have been watching,Nikon did apologize (bad sign) for not producing enough,i think if you look on wex nearly all the Nikons of that style are out of stock,sounds like a production problem.

This could be due to the normal misuse of a superzoom camera,oh look at that bird across the field lets take a picture of it,the best use is good field craft and get as close as you can,plus at 2000mm FOV even with VR it could be too much hand holding.

Considering what this camera is,ie sensor size and zoom length,take a look here there are images of all standards,this makes me think its the users not the camera but i am still waiting to try one,its not a DSLR and never will be.
