Has anyone else had to make a claim on this insurance?

I broke my camera (Well smashed it actually) so had to send it off for repair or replace as per insurance policy. Got it back the next week saying not economically viable to fix it. So why send the broken one back i thought.

Phoned homeserve and spoke to a complete..... who told me i hadn't sent in the correct paperwork. Which is total rubbish.

I have now called them 5 times and spent over 4 hours on the phone (Mostly on hold) trying to get this resolved. All the time they're telling me it's my fault. (I'm starting to get rather ****ed off by now)

Spoke to Nikon today who said they did receive all the correct paperwork from me and the only hold up was homeserve AAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!:bat::bang:

Anyone else had any dealings with them?

I'm still waiting for my 2nd year warranty paperwork for my D300 from them - I bought it in December 2007......

Not had my paperwork since last May...

Haha, I had the opposite... I got two sets of letters (posted seperately...) through the other day utterly randomly from them telling me that I had 2 year's coverage starting from /now/ on...*something*.... can't find out for the life of me what it is, I certainly haven't bought anything new from nikon for a very long time now o_0

I had a pantomine with them trying to register my camera when I got it. Eventually had to deal direct with Nikon.

I was singularly unimpressed when I got this letter - note the dates.

And nobody seemed to have twigged the fact that Nikon had provided a 2 year warranty. Of course it has run out now but I was'nt going to have any dealings with Homeserve based on the evident incompetence illustrated by their letter.

16-30 and still no ****ing phone call!!!! I am not a happy chappy.

I daren't call them at the moment as i think i will get banned from ever speaking to them again.

slightly off subject but got the same dealing and shafting for boiler cover with homeserve complete and utter shower of pigs bum material and then complete and utter juan kerrs on the phone

would not deal with them ever again complete waste of 1 penny let alone the 18 pounds a month i am tied to them until september.

waste of time dont even think of using homeserve
