My grip stopped working today. It focuses but won't activate the shutter. I wondered if anyone had suffered the same thing and what the fault was and how they went about putting it right.
Try taking the batteries out then putting them back in and taking the grip off then put it back together,this works on my 40d it might work with the D700.
Ah ha! I had taken it off and put it on a different body but closer inspection showed a bit of fluff on the contact points. Thanks for making me look at that.
