Nikon got it right?

Was just reading the other thread about the D3X and wondering if Canon have kinda made a wee mistake with their naming of the brand...I mean the Nikon can now go D3, D4, D5 etc whereas what are Canon going to do? EOS 1/2 Ds? I hate fractions...
