No
I have been given the following brief (this is for something where I have no control whatsoever over the requirements, so please don't debate whether I need 24MP or not, for example; it's what I've been asked for):
  • 24MP Nikon camera
  • Weathersealed - this would appear to exclude the D5300
  • GPS+Wifi
  • Speedlight
The D7100 meets the brief with the exception of the GPS/Wifi, although you can lash on a wifi module - I think. Can you lash on a GPS and a wifi module?

Also, do Nikon do any weathersealed speedlights? Is the 18-55mm kit lens weather-sealed? Is there a weather-sealed zoom lens on the order of something like 20-100mm?

Is this a request for the moon on a stick?

I know the square root of cock-all about Nikon's product range, so apols if this is a set of daft questions.

The D7100 fits with what you're looking for, but I think a weatherproof flash will be a tough one - I'm not familiar with many, but I briefly owned a SB900 and that was no more weather sealed than a bog standard variety flash. Others may be able to answer this particular question more, but I'd say go for the 71k and the WU-1a module. I think GPS might not be in the mix unless you look at other solutions ie iphone/android connection and app support.

Sounds like the peraon givin you the task doesnt like you haha because theyve not given you much of a chance.

Also there requirements puzzle me as to what there doing with it. Flash makes me thing portrait but unless your doin it in the rain the weather seal isnt required ... hmm

Is this a request for the moon on a stick?
I think it may well be. If you could find out what the underlying requirements are, shorn of bells and whistles wherever possible, I'm sure people here could help devise a solution.
do Nikon do any weathersealed speedlights?
I don't think so. But I'm not 100% sure and would be happy to be corrected.
Is the 18-55mm kit lens weather-sealed? Is there a weather-sealed zoom lens on the order of something like 20-100mm?
Few if any lenses are weather *sealed*. Some are weather *resistant*, but getting to the bottom of what these terms really mean is virtually impossible.

Here's a list of weather resistant lenses. If I were you I think I'd be looking at the 24-120mm f/4 VR.
