Nikon Fisheye 10.5 v 16mm?

Looking to buy my first fisheye so wanted to hear your experiences on either of the above, and any example photos.

It seems there are only two Nikon options?

Well, with a D300 you'll only be using the centre of the 16mm, so all you'd have is something equivalent to a 24mm on, say a D700.

Have you considered the Tokina 10-17mm?

The 10.5 is the best fish for the DX nikon cameras. 16 just looks like a wide angle with bad distortion. You can also check out the tokina 10-17mm which gets good reviews. There is a sigma 10mm but I've never used it.

10.5 is a DX lens. 16mm is a FF fisheye.

Buy the Nikon 10.5mm it focuses down to about an inch so you can get some really weird shots with it, limited use though I soon got bored with mine and sold it
