Unfortunately my trusty F4 tipped over when there was no lens mounted, it was on my desk and literally tipped forward onto the desk on the nose of the DP-20 VF.
Now the view through the VF is soft and the unit has a rattle so something has been dislodged it seems.
I'll have a go disassembling it and see if I can fix it.
What a pain, I don't suppose anyone has had one of these DP-20 units apart and can offer any advice?
TIA,

Paul

There's one on the well known auction site that finishes today, currently at a reasonably low price, it has a little LED bleed but it may do as a donor if you can get it at the right price.

Yes I've looked already and there are several available, hopefully I'll be able to repair mine as it's mint with no LCD bleed at all.

I repaired the DP-20, fiddly job though. The centre eyepiece element had come away from the frame that supports it and the centre element is the one that moves back and forward when you adjust the diopter. It's all good now apart from one very annoying thing that I'll need to fix and that is when I removed the centre element, as it had come away from the frame that supports it it fell out into my palm so no damage to it but it meant I was unable to tell which way round it is meant to go, 50/50 chance of getting it right and I got it wrong so although it works fine and the VF is clear and sharp the outer edges are bowing in like barrel distortion. However since I've had it apart and reassembled it I'm familiar with the procedure, it won't be that bad doing it again, but a pain in the A.
