Nikon f100

Just bought a Nikon f100 and i'm a bit confused with the lenses choice.
What kind of lensed will give me full matrix metering.
I thought about getting a 50mm 1.4 or 1.8 D to start.
Can i use G lensed ??

For full matrix metering you need lenses with a CPU in them. G lenses will work fine (as long as they are not DX).
