Nikon extended warranty

Recently purchased a Nikon D600 and registered online for 2 years warranty. It states that, in the confirmaton letter I'll recieve, there will be the option to extend the warranty to 3 years, which will also include accidental damage.

Anyone advise on the cost? Need to insure the camera and don't want to purchase separate insurance or add to the home insurance, if the Nikon deal is reasonable.

Why not give Nikon a bell and ask - I'm sure it would be in the letter aswell.

A question I'd ask is - does the extended warranty for the 3rd year include accidental damage for all 3 years or just the third ?

Never got something like that from Nikon before. I agree with Lancs, make sure that the accidental damage covers all three years?
