A while back Nikon announced their DL range of (premium compact) cameras that include an 18-50, and 24-85 equivalent.
Not seen any talk of them here. Personally I've had my eye on a Sony RX100, but I've been wanting to move away from Sony products for a variety of reasons. The two smaller DL cameras could be RX100 beaters if Nikon have got the specs right. Especially for those needing fast autofocus and burst modes.
There's talk of 4K video too, but none of the sites mention whether it uses the AVHD or XAVC (the latter being better), nor has their any talk of Log modes for those who like grade in post processing.

Available to order form Jessops, WEX and the like, but it looks like the release date isn't until June.
