Nikon DK-21 , (for D750) eye piece keeps falling off

Is there an eye piece similar to the D700 for the Nikon D750, (I suppose not as the D700 one screws in)

The original D750 eye piece keeps falling off and I have now "lost" it

any recommendations?

I don't wear glasses for photography but having tried my reading glasses I don't get any problems (though it feels slightly 'funny' as I am not used to it).

just for reference - there are two types the bigger HEYENSG, if you wear glasses

and the smaller HEYEN22S if you don't

I saw a post on facebook that somebody had fitted one as below: NOT ME..

I managed to hack a DK-17M onto my D750 recently using a filed/sanded out DK-22. If anyone wants to convert a square viewfinder (eg. 6xx/7xxx series) to a round then its possible at the risk of trashing a £5-6 fitting.

Advantages would be..
1. Moves the eyepiece away from the camera for those of us with a larger nose.
2. Allows use of Round eyecup to shade eye (not fitted in my case).
3. Magnification of viewfinder if using the DK-17M. (The main reason I tried it)

Disadvantages would be ..
1. Harder to see the corners of viewfinder.
2. Probably not good for spectacle wearers for the above reason.
3. Stick out from camera body further than standard fitting.

A round file, some 320 grit wet and dry and some patience are all you need.

You can the cheap replacements of eBay for penny's they don't look any different than the originals then just use a small sliver of black electrical tape in between the eye piece and body and it won't move again. I bought a few of the cheap replacements of eBay just in case but have been using the same one for nearly a year without losing again.

I went that route initially but it was a false economy for me, kept falling off and lost it within 10 days :)
