Hi everyone,

I was so upset on my course tonight, my Nikon D90 we were doing the session on portraits which i've been really looking forward to.

My camera was working fine, had it on manual playing around with shutter speed and exposure etc then i notice that instead of showing 'F4' it said 'F--' and wouldn't allow me to take pictures.... and then it did allow me to take pictures but they were black. Then after doing absolutley nothing it randomly went back to the settings i had it on but then within a minutes time it'd go back to displaying 'F--' then at one point displayed 'ERR' and then would start working for a while.

I'm so upset! :(

I'm sat currently reading through the massive wad of a manual but i thought i'd post on here incase anyone can shed any light on what is going wrong.

Thankyou

Mate don't panic. Take the lens off, get a good clean cloth and wipe dont the contact ring on both the body and the lens. Put the lens back on and try and again.

Thankyou,

I've removed the lens and reattached it and it seems to be working fine :D

Phew i'm glass it's only something simple and not a fault on the camera!

Panic over!

Cheers again
