Spoke to jessops the 20th September was told they had 150 arriving soon. So ordered one and traded my D750
Now been told they don’t have a date? Costumer services take forever to answer the phone then can’t Help you!

Yes it seems the distributors don't get much info from Nikon and Nikon just say you have to speak to your distributor and not them for any info on shipments.

I was going to post the same question - I ordered a couple for work some weeks ago, I expected them to arrive mid September as I believe the D810 did. I was surprised to hear yesterday there's no stock in the UK
The first batch sold out before the shipping date batch 1, so I think they've been on back order ever since. Not sure if the supply is now catching up with the demand.

Just spoken to Jessops regarding my D850 order.
Said August’s orders have gone out. There now starting on September’s But can’t tell me we’re I am on the list? Really wish I hadn’t traded my D750. Lesson learned

Maybe but on the flip side there’s a certain air of confidence if they are so sought after it was a good choice. Just the timing element and that Nikon didn’t anticipate the unprecedented demand.

You are right if I’d preordered on release date and then the reviews were rubbish that wouldn’t be good.I’m confident I’ve made the right choice. Just wish sales hadn’t given me duff information.
