I dont want to cause another fuss, but has anyone owned both the d800 and 5dmk3 or switched from a canon 5dmk3.
I've had this urge to switch that I've tried to shake since before the d800 was released, but still Haven't been able to.
I know the d800 may be a better camera for rez and dr, but theres lens that i would love to own in the canon camp and i just seem to love the images i see from canon cameras.
I know many people say that there are visual differences and others that its just in post as raw is raw. But i think there must be a difference in the way there processed in camera through the software (even raw)and from the way the lens render the images. either that or all canon users edit with a very similar style.
It seems like canon colours are more muted, with less contrast and there looks to be film type grain. where as the new nikons especially are very sharp, vivid and contrasty.
has anyone used both and can coment on this?
Im still not sure i can give my d800 up though.

My system is pretty static, but I'll have to check whether keeping the RAW file with the PSD file would get around that problem. Fingers crossed.
