Nikon D800......

That's different David, I like it! Are you now selling these images now ? What about a personal website, anything arranged with that..? Have you looked into a domain name for your photography etc..?

No not selling anything yet just playing. I'd like to stick to a certain style of layouts for a bit of uniformity in them but haven't decided on which yet.

I have looked into some domain names and once I get to Australia ( July ) il look at setting it all up. I need to figure out the practicalities but your advice posted above is invaluable.

Should a D800 be considered for people looking to buy a D750 considering how much the prices have come down? Would it just be people who do landscapes / stills or where they need more resolution who would plump for a D800 over a D750?

Just wondering as I see some wonderful pics here with the D800...to me they look at least as good as the ones with a D750, but I guess it depends on the lenses and processing as well.

(I edited the above since I love the D750 pics as well which are just as good)

It's a tricky question, as both are cracking cameras. For me it's just the resolution it gives, ability to post crop (being lazy!), and crazy detail which I love [emoji3]

Lovely shots Gregg, I've been missing your 20mm images to be honest....!

Having just dropped £3k on a gearbox repair to my car I may sell up my Nikon gear [emoji45] as I hate credit cards and had no choice today but to stick it on plastic. Have given myself until 5pm to decide [emoji45]. Why oh why are cars so crap and expensive to run.

For pure image quality SJ, the D8+++ series of cameras are far better than the D750. I've got both and although the D750 is a superb camera and in some things better than the D+++. If it's image quality your after then the D750 cannot match the D8+++.(y)

George.

Thanks George. I was thinking that as well. Mind you, the D750 sets the bar pretty high so the files from the D8xx series are nothing short of wonderful.

Can't you sell the car instead Gregg, maybe get a push bike or somethin'.(y)

"Seriously though mate, sorry to hear that".

George.

It's an old Merc and it was either scrap it or pay for the repair. The latter being slightly over half the cars value [emoji38]

I've got a motorbike but am too much of a p***y to use it all year these days [emoji3]

Sorry to hear that Gregg. I am certain there are ways you could keep the camera and one lens for the time being.

I might keep the 20mm if I can as its my best lens EVER!

My own body of course. I can put it on my head, or my stomach when lying down

School boy error last night; whilst driving to work last night out of the blue I spotted a hot air balloon and had stupidity left my camera bag at home thinking I'll never need it. The hot air balloon was low to the ground and would have made an excellent shot...........such an idiot!

Was kicking myself, I'll not do that again...

Lovely pooch! Cross breed?
Yes, I believe so. A different temperament compared to ours tho. He's 4yrs old and still boisterous and a bit bullying.

My waterproof camouflage cover arrived for the Sigma 150-600mm 'S' lens, superb piece of kit for £17, great for birding/wildlife in covert stealth mode.
