Nikon D800......

Thanks guys, appreciated.

Yes, our border collie is 10yrs old and very fit/active for her age, walked nearly every day, such a brilliant bitch. My other obsession is hi-fi, been into it longer than photo stuff, probably my first passion nearly 40yrs now. Although I mainly digitally stream via a dedicated 3TB HDD I've around 550 vinyl albums I play often on my old/basic Dual 504 turntable, so love it.....!

Just thought I'd post a couple of shots of my beloved Motor Driven Nikon FE2 . I've been lucky enough to have owned and still have a copy of every higher end film SLR Nikon made from a Nikon F onwards and this is without a doubt the model I have liked using most of all.

D810, 105mm Micro Nikkor Lens, 1/250th @ F16, ISO-100, Studio Flash.

Looks like a very nice example too.

One day I will seek out an FA again, a camera that I had for a long time and enjoyed so much. I also had several Nikkormats, F with Photomic head and F2's
Oops, I have started drooling now

Many thanks for that David, much appreciated.(y)

"This particular unit I've had from new and is in mint condition, it still works perfectly and as you probably know it's built like a tank"

George;

Proper brochure photography there with the Nikon film camera, lovely light and pin sharp. Superbness.

Many thanks for that Peter, really appreciate your comments.(y)

Can't comment on your good self mate, drop a selfie up and I'll let ya know!

Oooo, your not ready for a picture of me yet,:D I'm far too ugly for selfies.:)

How did you find it on the d800. Looks a good price

It's quite a chunk as you can imagine.... well balanced with a grip. 600mm at full aperture was always soft, but only marginally - stop it down one stop it was more than adequate. VR was good too.

Lovely image David, SUPERB sky....!

This current lush weather's making me think of adding another motorcycle to my garage, hmmm do I really need my 810/300mm ?

That sky is crazy Dave!

Peter, of course you need another motorbike [emoji38]

I think the bike rule is always N+1 right? thanks folks. I wish I could have gotten a better view point as the lower third of the sky went bright red but still happy with it.

For a do absolutely everything bike, I'd get a Street Triple. There's no beating them

Street triple 675? Would be too much money I'm sure... Prob a money budget of only £2,700 ish... I like the older Daytona T595 triple.
