Nikon D800......

Well it's arrived, managed to pick up a minty as new 80-200mm f2.8 lens to go with the 35-70 f2.8 which I bought last week, which I haven't tried yet, as my D750 was in the post to Wex. Must say, I have had excellent service from Wex for the price of my D810 and the amount they give me for my D750 and 300mm f4 lens.;)

Battery is on charge as I sent my spare off with the D750, will pick up an expro as spare next week.

My D810 arrived last week. So, what do you think I've been doing this week?

I've been taking long-exposure photographs with my Noon 612 pinhole and messing around with off-camera flash with my Fuji Instax Wide 300. The D810 is tucked up in its bag.

What is wrong with me?

Some awesome shots on here! Keep them coming!

Not used the camera properly in a while and am having to sell a lens to fund some other stuff. Sadly the 85 f1.4 sigma is biting the bullet (I will "get by" with the 70-200 vr2).

Not a portrait photographer and no experience of flash, so using on-board camera flash, but liked this, trying out the camera and lens when the boss came home. She would kill me if she knew I posted this, but I thought it would be rude not too!, Got to practice somehow! To grey and wet to try outdoors.

Good connection, on camera flash isn't ideal but not a deal breaker. I'd try to frame her higher in the frame. So either you or her need to be lower- needs more neck/shoulders in for my tastes.

Thanks Shaheed, I will take your advice if she lets me near her again with the camera. Recovering from shoulder Arthroscopy and SAD and Ulnar nerve transposition and the lens was too heavy for me, but wanted a try to make sure everything was working.

I think I read a while ago about saving card space on the cameras in this thread, had a quick look and can't find the posts, anyone have any tips and general tips for camera set-up. Doesn't seem that much different to the D750, but there probably is.

Lovely shot. We are staying in Benone soon for 4 nights and im hoping for something lkie this and sunrise from the beach too.

It's great to get some nice golden light

I'm stunned at how good the Sam yang 14mm performs on the D800 it's a gem of a lens for the money

Even used it at some weddings and it done a great job !

Ouch. The decompressions can be sore. Hope you're recovery continues. For me the lightest set up was the 50 f1.8g. It performed really well and slightly wish I hadn't sold it!!

After some feedback from this one please all. First attempt at a portrait and editing it.

Ye Im not a fan either of that little waft of hair to the side but my cloning skills art up to scratch to remove it. I feel If I tried your eye may be taken to the abnormality in the photo :/ Theres a lesson there for me to make sure my model is better presented.
