I was wondering what is the best colour mode setting ( RGB Ia,RGB IIIa or Adobe RGB)to use on my Nikon D80 I have the camera set to RAW I would be interested into what colour mode settings fellow D80 owners use.

I like sRGB III for pretty much everything.

Use that on all my Nikons (apart from people, sRGB I then)

(don't have a D80, but none of this is D80 specific)

I have my D80 set to sRGBIIIa most of the time as most of my photography is nature/landscape. sRGBIa is better for portraiture according to the manual

RGB is better viewed on pc monitors and Adobe RGB leads to better prints, so they say. Have you tryed turning the front wheel of your D80 while holding the white balance button, even in auto white balance you can cool your shots down or warm them up which i find nice for the landscapes.

Thank you all for your help.

If you shoot RAW it's irrelevant.

Colour space choice is made when you export your RAW files to TIF or JPG.
