Hi i'm new to photography need to get a cam for college and would like to know which is the better cam of the two Nikon D80 or 5000D as i know the D80 has AF motor which is better for my budget of getting a prime lens etc which i want to do. But i have read the 5000D is better quality so can anyone tell me if this is true.

D5000- Slightly better Image quality. Budget body, not weather sealed, lacking on body controls, no AF motor, small.
D80: Older tech, slightly less IQ but not really that noticeable in everyday situations, better weather sealed body, full controls on body, heavier, more rugged, AF motor, better lens compatabiltiy.
I'd go for the D80.
