Nikon D7xxx owners thread

Who is selling them for that price... on the lookout for one
Hdew as mentioned, although they've put their price up by the look of it.

If you use the code 25OFF that'll bring it down to sub 600. Although don't know if they'll let you submit an order if they're out of stock.

I bought mine from Hdew and am happy with the service/camera. Think I paid &£590 for it.

Are you looking for just the body or lenses too?

hi Steve
just the body only, going to get a smaller zoom than the kit with a 50mm 1.8 G prime. Bought a lovely 70-300 VR the other day from Greggers :)

PS, where do you insert the code, don't be able to see anywhere in the first page of the checkout options.

just bought one from HDEW, coming on Friday, the guy I spoke to, Paul seemed like a nice person and done his utmost to get the camera delivered for Friday since its my day off.

Now, which lens is to be my next purchase.?

Nice! Welcome to the club - nice to have another D7200 user on board.

What kind of photography do you shoot?

Not specialised in any area really, just a bit of everything from street to landscape, got a 70-300 VR so might try my hand at some birds (the feathered variety) just need something on the wider side, was thinking the 17-50 Siggy

Don't know what that particular Sigma lens is like, but I've got the 18-35 f/1.8 and it's awesome. Might be a bit too "wide" for street photography, though, it's a big ol' lens and I'm not sure many folk would appreciate it shoved in their face! :D

Body arrived, Paul?

Have you decided which lens you'll get yet?

Just waiting for my funds to add up before buying myself a 7200. I did hope with the announcement of the New Nikon cameras they may reduce slightly but not yet

Unfortunately, it looks as though Nikon have put their prices up with the turn of the year - as even the grey importers have put their prices up by around ~£30.

Where are you looking to buy? UK stock, or grey?

In the next 2 months Il e looking to buy. Il be heading off travelling for a couple of months with the camera after that. Im happy to buy grey imports, Ive been looking and Digital Rev appear to have the best offers.

I've decided the kit lens that comes with it will work fine then I'l invest in possible a Sigma lens for Astrophotography. Just not sure which one yet

Panamoz appears to be the cheapest at £775 (with the 18-140mm lens). HDEW is a few quid more (£779), both come with 3 year warrantees. Lots of people here have bought from all three and all come highly recommended.

Having said that, if you ask on the DigitalRev thread they'll give you a discount code which might make it slightly cheaper.

Have you a link. I can't find the 7200 on 0%
I can't find it either.

I've bought a lens from Jessops before (Nikon 24-70 2.8) and they wouldn't do it on 0% but I was 'sensible' for probably the first time in my life and paid it all off within 6 months minimizing the credit bill.
There's nothing to stop you paying early on their credit deals - they use a company called V5 Finance I believe - or at least used to.

If you wait a few months until the D500 is out I'm sure there will be some little used D7200's at great second hand prices as people 'upgrade'.

Can't see me upgrading for some time yet - still got less than 500 clicks on my 7200 - just don't get the time to use it at the moment:(

I think that extra 10-20% will be very significant if the current ISO expectations are realised in practice, however whether that 10-20% is worth the extra to change is debatable ... personally I find that the D7200 files can clean up very well if you want them to :)

Looking at £800 at the moment from John Lewis with 3 years cover including accident cover. I also like JL.

What memory cards do you all recommend for the 7200? Theres a insane amount of them online and would prefer some first hand guidance
