hi just had my Nikon in for a recall or whatever Nikon call it they replaced 111hy shutter plate unit am i on the wrong track hoped they would reset the shutter count but didn't

No they don't reset it as there's a lot more components that wear other than the shutter.

I think they might in the US, but I asked Nikon UK when mine was returned without being reset and they advised me that they didn't for the reasons already stated.
