What do you guys do to loose your eye pieces?
Me, I didnt lose one (yet) but I did change it 2 times, now and I`m happy with this one, I dont think this will ever come off as it needs to be pushed on and it clicks into place.
And it dont look too bad either imo.

I haven’t lost one yet?! Maybe just got a tight fitting one!!!

Can’t believe no one has snapped up the 70-200 in classifieds. January blues!!!

Your right there about that lens. When I was in a hunt there was no bargain to be had. Had to buy a new one.

Just got myself these, they come as a pair.
Seem ok for the moment. 37 euros so maybe a bit less in the UK.
I`be had enough of that little Nikon infa red thing that dont always work.

Well I was hoping to take delivery of my D750 tomorrow as per the original tracking info but it’s looking unlikely now, it’s been sat at customs in Belgium all day :( no biggie though, with my brothers stag do on Saturday I don’t think much photography would have been going on this weekend

May still get there. Tracking could be out. Is the delivery date still tomorrow?

As Twist says tracking updates are slow. Also, it could be coming overnight arriving in the UK depot ready for morning dispatch.

Yep delivery date is still looking like tomorrow on the site, fingers crossed that’s what it is :) the exact wording is “held awaiting customs clearance” so we’ll see!

Would still be nice to have it sooner rather than later, and my partner is about a bit tomorrow whereas she’s back in work on Monday so it’ll definitely get missed on Monday :( It’ll be going nowhere near the stag do either way

I’ve just been looking at cards too, not sure how many to buy :/ i was looking at 2 sets of 32gb to see me clear of a full wedding day. I currently use 16gb but in 12MP cameras and just about manage with 1 set, sometimes go over :) I have got some SD cards albeit 16gbs from a previous D7000, so some testing may be in order :D

I have a 32gb card as primary and a 16gb as secondary. I was second shooter at a wedding this summer and came nowhere near filling up the 32gb card. You should be MORE than fine with two 32gb cards. Get the fastest speed you can though.
14bit RAW? I use a 64gb with 32gb backup. Usually says I’ll get 1.1k initially but I get way more than that due to the lossless compression.

I do 12 bit; it says I should get 741 shots on it. I don't think I'd ever take anywhere near that many as, to me, it would just be too many of the same shots.
I think you’ll find that you get more than that tbh. The camera works out shot count based on full RAW before its compressed.

I bought the 64gb for when I shoot the London marathon and I will fill the card. For the rest of the time I just leave shots on until it’s getting close to full.

Just for clarity, does the 1.1k refer to 32gb or 64gb? :) I know it’s more than that in practise but I’ve never put different sized cards in my others and chosen backup, does it pick the maximum amount of backed up photos or the maximum it can take on the biggest card?

64gb is in slot 1 where the 14bit RAWs go, slot 2 has 32gb where the jpeg backups go. AFAIK it shows the minumum space. IIRC once the count got to 0 and the RAW card was filled I still had room on the 32gb slot where I could then take RAW and jpeg on that same card.

Perfect, I tend to use 2 of the same card and have the second card backing up RAW too just in case. I’ll probably pick up a couple of 64gb to put in, if that’ll give me a minimum of 1.1k at 14bit that’ll be fine, my 16gb cards in my D3 say 600 when empty but normally end up around 1000 before getting full :) thanks for the advice again :)

Why jpeg back ups? I use 32gb cards in both with the second as identical RAW back up. Shoot 14 bit normally but for weddings 12bit where you get over 1500 on a card.

Several reasons really. They are just back ups so I have something in the rare case of card failure. They take up less space and I find the camera is slower when using RAW for both cards when shooting high speed continuous.

I don't really rattle off shots and so wouldn't know how much quicker that would be, in some ways the camera has to process the jpeg so wouldn't that maybe even it up? Hey ho, each to their own and all. I've got some Samsung cards in the 610 and they're not really noticeably slower than the extreme pro's on the 750, think their write speed is 60 mb/s as opposed to 95 mb/s. What cards are you using Toby?

It might be in my head but it seems faster to me ;) Sandisk Extreme Pro 95mb/s

I don't rattle off that many exposures to know which is faster when shooting but when transfering to the computer using USB3.1 - the samsung pro 64GB is noticably quicker than the sandisk extreme (95mb/s) 64gb card.

I do sometime miss FF but I don’t know wether that in my head lol. I have the chance to swap my d500 for a D750 mint only taken 450 images. But there be things I’ll miss on the d500 so prob best sticking and wait till D850 are about at good prices best of both world

It starts ;)

LoL does it. Nahhhh
I honestly think you'd miss the AF and AF spread. Not that much difference in the noise handling and the D500 has better build. The D850 on the other hand, just about all the benefit of the D500 with FF goodness ;) They're already down to £2700 ish on Panamoz ;)

Yup a bit more then I prob jump ship

Only

Well it’s still a lot of money obviously but at least the prices are starting to come down. Just over £3k from panamoz on launch. If/when they drop below £2k I’ll start to show a bit more interest ;)

Grey sellers were very optimistic at those launch prices. People aren't stupid so prices soon tumble. You'll be waiting a while.
