Nikon D750 & D780

I personally don't think it's bland, I really like the tones. When I said original I meant the RAW as opposed to original size, or was this SOOC?
This shot just added went into LR and converted to jpg for here, no idea how to send RAW files :( and yes thats sooc, no edits/adjustments except the signature.

Had quick 2 mins with the jpeg, don't think I'd do much different to your original edit tbh. Might play with the RAW later ;)

Go on then, I went for a dark, moody, contrasty edit..

Almost makes me want to go do some landscape... almost..

PS. There's some great detail in the file.

PPS. Flickr playing up again tonight!

I've gotta go and do this bridge picture for my friend who wants it hanging on the wall. Struggle to get excited about landscapes, suppose I'll give it a bash soon. She wants moody black & white, reckon that's do-able.

If it’s not there’s a few on will play with the RAW file for you by the look of it :D:p

Well that's what I used in LR and it didn't make the trees detailed like that so if he is referring to LR then he's some kind of wizard ;)
LOL - I am not a wizard at all.
Am using Photoshop Elements and its the Haze removal tool under the enhance menu not sure if this is the exact same tool in lightroom. I also used slight levels adjustments and very small tweaks to contrast and clarity. Don't think I applied any sharpening expect the small amount I have set up to take place when converting from RAW to JPEG. Although the foreground was pretty clear the low clouds were adding a haze to the higher sections of the main mountain so I separated the sky and the land and applied the haze removal tool to the land layer.

Weather's crap again today so ruined the idea of going into the peaks. Decided to get the lego figures out again instead

Really nice, flash used?
Thanks. Yes, single flash with soft box and then a reflector on the other side.

I'm always amazed how much detail these macro lenses show, the plastic of the lego always looks perfectly smooth with the naked eye.

70-200 f2.8 lenses. Which one?

V2 Nikon is a bit out of the budget so wondering about a V1 or the Tamron 70-200, not the latest recently released model. I do like the native Nikon lenses but wondering how good the V1 is against the Tammy?

Thoughts.

The V1 apparently suffers vignetting on FF

Toby,i like your new Lab suit :LOL::LOL: or is that just for when the girlfriend comes round lol
Girlfriend? You do realise I'm married and she'd divorce me in a second if I started wearing a Star Wars costume

This has probably already come up on here as I haven't scrolled through the 700 odd pages, but what are your thoughts about Nikon leaving an anti-alias filter in the D750 when they have taken out of the D810 and the D7XXX series of cropped framed cameras, it seemed a bit odd to me, I did read somewhere it was to do with the video capabilities of the camera they wanted to promote, but I have no real idea about that, I must admit after not long purchasing the D810 and using it I was blown away with the sharpness of it which I'm guessing has a lot to do with no filter, so why leave it on the D750 ? I was at some point going to look at getting the 750 but I am just worried I won't get the same image quality having now been spoilt by the 810.
