If I ever get into doing weddings I'll get a 24 1.8 but just as soon as I can, I'm going to go for a 105. But, that could be a while away yet. Have a wedding of my own I've got to find the funds for first...

I used to love my 135L, such an awesome lens, especially for the little ones. Hence, I'll go the 105 for my little one.

Thanks Rob. I'm trying to work out how to get them diving, the banks of the river are fairly steep and it is 2 meters down to water level. I would almost need to be in the river.

I do love the 35. It's been a bit redundant since I bought the 58 but it will be on one of the cameras tomorrow for the 80th birthday party I'm doing.

Glad I've got two bodies to avoid that dilemma :D I really like the 35mm 1.8. Definitely a nice sharp lens.
 
I took this one a few months ago in April. it's quite poignant in that we went away and the mother-in-law had just started chemotherapy. She had just shaven her hair bless and so I hadn't done anything with it until now. And she has her last treatment next week :)

Fantastic image. Really deep and if she she hasn't seen this yet i bet it's going to be a very touching moment for her when she does.

Thanks Mark. Slight setback this week, she had a reaction. it should have finished but one more dose to go.
 
At the New Forest so going to try my best to use the 28mm to take some snaps!
 
How are guys sharpening D750 files? I've read everywhere from 20 through to 67 for sharpening in various places.

Wondering what the consensus is here

Up to about 50 usually for me, although of late I've been preferring running a high pass filter in PS.

Personally I find LR pants for sharpening and so all mine gets done in PS. They all get a value of 40 before exporting a full sized jpegs into a folder, then I run that folder through PS for web with an action. For large prints. I'll do separately.

For people I don't think it makes a great lot of difference but for sharp landscapes then can make a lot of difference.
 
Just been to have a look at a venue. One of the albums left on show needed a little more than a good sharpen! Very soft and blatant missed focus shots everywhere.

That's cool, thanks. I've never used PS much other than for noise reduction so I'll give it a whirl.
