So after sending back my Tenba DNA 11 I am looking at the Tenba Cooper 13 or Retrospective 7. I have seen the Cooper on offer but it still slightly more than the Retro.

Both are pretty similar in size on paper and both will hold what I need! Reviews for both are positive!

Decisions decisions!!!

The default email that comes on the mac book
I don't use the mail app on my Mac, but try Macrumors, they're a wealth of knowledge (y)

I have not informed her how much the bags I am looking at cost... but the fact that she owns a bag that cost the same, has no padding and struggles to fit a phone and wallet in, means my purchase is fully justified!

All those talk of bags has got me thinking of a new one to replace my kata but it need to take the gripped d750, 150-600 , 70,200 plus the 85mm and 35mm

I've not heard of them but I've just tried their online quote estimated. At excess of £239.85 and a monthly payment of £14.40 for only the D750 (no lenses included) it seems quite high compared to the well known photography insurers. With no excess it's £18.30 a month. Take into account a quick quote from aaduki for £10,000 worth of equipment came out at £256.85 a year (£21.40 a month- there may be an excess with that I haven't checked).

Isn't your gear covered on your house insurance? Mine covers me up to £1500 for an unspecified item. I can specify items over £1500 (such as my 70-200mm now) but that puts the premium up a bit obviously. But it's per individual item, so if my D750 and 70-200mm got nicked or broken it's £1500 for each so £3000.

Will ask my insurance so your covered £1500 per item?

But is it covered when out if you drop it out about??

This is how i have mine, away from home cover no more than £2000 per individual item, but covers lost or accidental damage. But its like for like.

Yep, but obviously policies vary so it doesn't mean that all policies will have this. I can specify items above this amount, but can only have up to £20k worth of specified items, which I've already maxed out so can't add any of my camera gear. I figure £1500 would get me grey or mint used though.

Did you have to pay extra

Ooh, £2000 per item, which insurer's this?

dunno probably, but to be hones if it all got nicked or broken in one go id struggle to replace it so its worth it in my eyes

So what happens if your house is burgled and you have it unticked?

Depends on the insurance. I've had to pay extra to cover the additional value within the home as the overall value of home contents with camera equipment was too low. I've upped it so there is enough cover for home contents and camera equipment. It's best to speak to your insurers, explain the situation and go from there. Home insurance is cheaper than specific photography insurance but make sure you don't ever sell an image otherwise it's likely to break the insurance agreement.
