Nikon D750 & D780

Sorry, can the strap only be put into the tripod mount or can it also be attached like a normal strap?

Thanks
Both. I find it most comfortable having one attachment on the left lug (looking from the back of the camera) and one on the tripod plate. Having it on both lugs means the camera doesn't hang right IMO.

Thanks, I have the optech one which I want to swap.

This is how they prefer you to have it isn't it as though this this the whole point of it?? I've always had it like this [emoji106]

Yep that's how it works. I have AEL configuration as one of the items in my menu (and I have my menu set as one of the front Fn buttons) so that I can quickly change from BBF to normal.

Me too. It's easier to quickly change if someone says 'can I take one of you.'

I think I must be the only one who doesn't like the peak design!

You're not. I prefer narrow, retro straps plus swivels to stop twisting.

My favourite is the black rapid cross shot breathe. But as with everything, what works for one, doesn't work for the other!

How do you find the weight of that combo on a thin strap? I was previously looking at the narrow peak design strap but quite a few said to was too thin for that kind of weight.
I thought it might be a problem cutting into my shoulder, but I've not found it to be. Even with a 70-200 on the camera it's been okay for me. I've actually found that it less prone to slipping off my shoulder than the wider strap that comes with the camera for some reason.

Didn't like the way it slides, don't like the lugs, didn't like the way it sat against my side, didn't feel comfortable.

But as I said, I'm the only one on here lol
I didn't like it at first and sent my first one back. Tried it again and swapped the attachment points around and now wouldn't have any other strap.

I tried it all ways for a month but not for me, but as I said, different things work for different persons!

How do you attach the Peak Design straps to the foot of lenses like 70-200 or 150-600?

Love to colours in the first and last.

Im planning on trying to do something different when we go to cyprus in august this year

Thanks. I'm not one for lying beside a pool for 10 days, i always have a few outings planned when we are away.

Me neither, been looking online for things to do already. found a few spots for wildlife too.
I know a few good places for sunsets but we will see how much i can get away with :):)

I don't personally but guess you could attach the tripod plate to the foot. Think the strap would get in the way when shooting though.

I was always told that it was bad to hang a heavy lens like a 150-600 from the body lens mount?

Dunno, but can't see it being an issue as it hangs lens down so no torsion on the mount. I can see holding the combo by the body only could put a strain on the mount but I always take the weight with the lens when I'm hand holding

I`ve had a 70-200 dangling, but tend to cradle the new one and the 150-600 when walking around, as they`re both big lumps to have swinging about.

Logically I can see it not making a difference as the weight when hanging down would put less stress on the components than when vertical. But saying that I'm not an engineer.
Plus I'm sure they must stress test them a fair bit.

Find yourself swapping between the 2 quite a lot?

Can have them both on the same time if I wanted ;)

If Not it only takes under a min to swap them

Both. I find it most comfortable having one attachment on the left lug (looking from the back of the camera) and one on the tripod plate. Having it on both lugs means the camera doesn't hang right IMO.

Hang on, yours is connected to the left? Trash button side? Does it hang on your right hip?

He got it the same as me and yes it hangs on the right hip
