Didn't like it. Nipple thing felt horrible. The top dial just looked weird.

The overall size I did like.

Didn't like the fn buttons.

I've had my fix so my gas is no longer
I feel for you [emoji22]

That what I meant.. There just something on the D750 I miss I bond to that pretty quick. The D500 is a lovely camera but it just not clicking in my hands..

Arnt the FN buttons on the D750 in the same place?

Ive had a D750 and currently got a D500.. My take on this I prefer the D500 in ever ways.. The files are easier to work with the noise is on par to D750 IMO but better at cleaning as they are grain rather than colour speckles
In all honesty the D500 with the correct lens imo you get the best of everything

Sorry Andrew,couldnt resist :)

Strange what you say about noise as of all the files I've sampled chroma noise is automatically fixed on import to LR, and the D500's grain has been coarser. Obviously though you have more experience with it than I do and I guess it depends what ISO's you're using (y)

At first, I thought someone had quoted my thoughts on the D500!

Any excuse to feed your GAS :D

I thought the idea of the view finder cover seemed a bit of an after thought

I've generally always used UV filters but I don't bother on my 50G and 70-200, the rest have one.

I certainly would always use one if I were around the sea or harsh environment- had a fall once on rocks and the filter didn't save the front element then.

There's an argument that there's image degradation on longer FL lenses but I've never seen anything over the years that I could contribute to filters. I almost always use hoods too, out of habit more than anything. Interested to hear who bothers or not with them.

I don't.

Why don't you?
Honest answer? Just haven't been arsed to buy them!

When I bought my first dslr, about 10 years ago, the helpful chap in Jessops told me I needed them. Didn't understand why, but went along with it anyway and bought a couple for the lenses I had at the time.

I've long since sold the lenses, and the filters are kicking about somewhere, but they wouldn't fit on the lenses I have now.

If I spent a lot of time taking photographs on the beach/rocks I'd see the value as I'm clumsy and I guess salty water and glass don't react well, but as it stands I haven't had the need to buy them.

You also get the "you've got a lens hood to protect the front element should you drop it" and "why would you want to stick a cheap bit of glass on the front of your £5,000 lens!!" crowd, but I don't fit in either of those categories - even if they may or may not have a point. :)

Hi

Seriously have you got one as you kept that quiet lol.

Anyway whilst I do agree with the noise being different yes your right in that area.

There just something about the d750 but maybe cos it FF or maybe the smaller I know slightly smaller does me and the buttons layout.

At first, I thought someone had quoted my thoughts on the D500!

I though you said there was absolutely nothing you could fault the d500 just decided stat d750 for the size

You're doing it again. If you prefer the D750 then why have you still got the D500?

For god sake I am only commenting......

Hahaha. You're not though. You're looking for more reasons to switch. You seem to always need someone to make your mind up for you or hold your hand. Pick a camera for you instead of other people. When you first got the D500 you were all over the D500/D750 thread saying how good it was and it was so much better for you, blah blah blah and now you're looking for someone to talk you into switching back. Just do it. Enough people have had this argument (discussion) with you in the majority of owners threads on here. You've already had two D750's and sold up so it's obviously not for you, what makes you think it will be this time?

Have you booked onto any courses or 1-2-1 tuition for landscapes yet? If you spent a bit more time researching locations in The Peak District instead of asking everyone the same questions over and over again you'd get a lot more from your photography.

See that ignore button PRESS IT.... Sick and tired of your banter...

Only went to Sony as wanted to go lighter and it wasn't really that much lighter and got fed up pressing wrong buttons while camera at the eye.. I would of gone straightt back to D750 but instead I went D500... Don't get me wrong it a great camera but there something about the D750

That enough from me I was only commenting not asking for advice the past few posts.. I AM NOT ASKING FOR ADVICE
