You don't agree?
As I said though panning is fine, taking subjects moving back and forth not so good. Yes you can get shots but compared to the D750 it's far behind and it gets frustrating. Obviously just my opinionNope. It was a nice system and undoubtedly the X-T2 has improved on that even further. I shot motorsport with it just fine, even before the v4 firmware update.
I wasn't, I have both systems and very happy with eachLets not turn the D750 thread in to another Fuji vs Nikon thread lol
Saying that I am always tempted to try a XT-2 but it would mean selling the D750 and looking at prices I might not afford to get one back if I didnt like the jump!
Going to try get some Christmas snaps this year, usually forget to take my camera with me on the various family visits!
No, but to fair my 'complaints' with AF were not related to motorsportHave you used the 50-140?
I didn't really see much difference between the X-T1 and D750 with regards to shooting motorsport. It's not all about panning.
No, but to fair my 'complaints' with AF were not related to motorsportObviously you found it OK, I found/find it frustrating which proves that folk need to try for themselves

With the correct lens. If your trying to track with the 35 then that will more than likely be the issue. I would only use the 35 for a game of football.
I've used the 18-55 and 18-135 too and comparing that to the 24-120, but yes I agree the lens helpsWith the correct lens. If your trying to track with the 35 then that will more than likely be the issue. I would only use the 35 for a game of football.

Great, first one in particular. I'd love to get close to some puffins, tried Bempton Cliffs this year but they were a long way off.A little out of season and not very christmasy but I've been going through and processing some images from earlier in the year. I quite like leaving images for several months before processing them further, it helps me to look at the images without the vivid memories of photos that looked good on the back of the camera and didn't come out as I wanted them to.
So here are some christmas Atlantic Puffins!!! I will try to put some tinsel on the Puffins when I revisit in July for next christmas' image postings. All images taken with a 70-200 and 1.4TC.

I can crop to compensateWasn't the 150-600 long enough to reach them pal?? Maybe a D500 to get closer![]()
Bempton was where I first saw a Puffin and it was a long way off. The problem at Skomer can be they get too close, I've often had minimum focus distance issues! The first one was roughly 2m away so there is a little crop to centre it. They will literally stand on you if you stay still enough, I've found them standing on my camera bag to get a better view.Great, first one in particular. Wow, I'd love that. Having one stand on me would be better than taking a pic any day of the weekBempton was where I first saw a Puffin and it was a long way off. A friend of mine has a photo of a Puffin standing on our other friend whilst they were photographing them a few years ago.Wow, I'd love that. Having one stand on me would be better than taking a pic any day of the week![]()
If you go to Bempton take a telescope to shoot throughThe other half wants to go and see puffins. I've I'll take her as I'd like to photograph them myself.
They are puffins not women [emoji14] [emoji12]Wow, I'd love that. Having one stand on me would be better than taking a pic any day of the week![]()

You can get really close to the Puffins on the Farne Islands, well worth the trip and only a bit further up the east coast from Bempton. I enjoy Bempton Cliffs but found the Farnes to be a fantastic experience except for the Terns who dive bomb on a regular basis!Wow, I'd love that. The D700/800's have an viewfinder shutter but it is built into the camera rather than removable. I don't think there is one that can be fitted as an accessory on the D750 or similar cameras (i've not come across one). The viewfinder shutter is the only thing I miss from the D800, I've already lost one of the plastic slip on eye covers when using it with the D750. The good thing with the slip on ones is you can leave it on and just use live view (that does drain batteries quite fast). The only problem is getting it to stay on the D750, I've thought of using insulation tape to secure it or a small tether to one of the camera lugs.Morning all, I do a lot of long exposures bought a Nikon eye piece cover that I use, or use my hat.
Both are a little faffy.
Anyone know if I can get a replacement eye cover that some Nikons have that has the flip on the eyepiece that covers the viewfinder??
Cheers.

The 'pro' bodies seem to have them. The D500 and D700/D800 are all similar 'pro' body styles hence they have the same viewfinder shutter. There a view finder shutter on the d500 too bit odd since it sold for wildlife photographer lol.
But I am using the camera as a allrounder and impress

Indeed, only a mere 160 miles further north! Jokes aside though, the farnes are great for puffins. A 70-200 works pretty well there as you can get very close.
On the Facebook D750 group someone put a photo of the eye peice tethered to a bit of floss, tie it to the eye peice then put the eye peice in situ and the other end to the strap loop. Hope this may help. The D700/800's have an viewfinder shutter but it is built into the camera rather than removable. So the 750 isn't a professional body [emoji12] how strange of nikon not to include this very useful bit of technology. The 'pro' bodies seem to have them. The D500 and D700/D800 are all similar 'pro' body styles hence they have the same viewfinder shutter.
After mentioning it earlier I've now tied a piece of cord to the DK-5, the opposite end can be attached to the camera strap lung using a reef style knot. Hopefully it will save losing that £6 piece of plastic. On the Facebook D750 group someone put a photo of the eye peice tethered to a bit of floss, tie it to the eye peice then put the eye peice in situ and the other end to the strap loop. It is strange but I guess it's another feature to differentiate between ranges. I'm not that bothered about the differences between the 'pro' and 'prosumer/consumer' body shapes, I still can't work out how some don't see the D750 as the D700 replacement due to the body shape/size. I've never really understood this whole pro body thing. So the 750 isn't a professional body [emoji12] how strange of nikon not to include this very useful bit of technology.
