Nikon D750 & D780

This coming from the guy who returned one and decided to give it again again ;)
Yep, I wasn't aware that the different attachment points made such a difference and only tried attaching to both lugs first time around and didn't like it. Having one on the left lug (looking from the back of the camera) and one on the tripod plate makes a huge difference IMO.

OHHH so the first time you did it you had the strap on both lugs of the camera???

Never mind that why there was a plate to put on bottom of camera ;)

How do you find the tripod plate? Looks kinda small in the pix ...

As I said, I didn't appreciate that it would make much of a difference.

It is kinda small, but I have the RC2 version which is bigger and easier to tighten thanks to the d-ring. I do also have the original type, but that came with the capture clip (which I don't use).

Cheers Toby. Appreciate that tip

Would love to put some on here but it clearly be off topic lol

What about the raw files you got me to email to you a few months back? You admitted that you couldn't get them to look similar to mine after processing. I don't think that the D750 was ever the problem.

Not had any problem with the D500

You will be all pleased to know that my classifieds access is gone so you can't get any of my 2nd hand bargains anymore!!

Why's that

As it's that time of year again I thought I would post a bokeh shot of the bearded burbler himself.

Some really creative ideas on there (y) I wish my imagination was better.

Yes same here, love taking pictures of lego but cannot get those creative ideas.

Not sure if this has been discussed before but, is there a way to change the ISO without the LCD screen turning on?
I was shooting a concert recently and I found it a bit annoying to be honest.

Half depress the shutter and hit the iso button at the same time, you can then release the shutter button and adjust the iso.

I've never noticed it turning on when I've changed ISO lol. Mind you I use auto ISO most of the time.

What is your preferred method ?
SpyderLensCal and then check real world conditions. DOT Tune's too vague IMO. Trouble is with any AF fine tuning it's never going to be 100% as it can change from shot to shot (even if you have the camera on a tripod) due to the very nature of phase detect AF, and it will change with changes in subject distance and/or focal length.

Didn't realise you bough one mate. Any good then as £50 ouch

Yes and no. Would be great if it was under £10, but works no different to my home made efforts. It is more convenient though, and I had vouchers and nothing else to spend them on ;)

I'll give this a go but ti doesn't seem to easy to do when you have to switch iso on the fly and on a fast pace shoot, as a concert is.

Try and you'll see it turns on :)

Has anyone tried the dot tune method for af tuning

I did this last Friday with my lenses, though not sure if I have got it right.

The 28-75 seems to give better results now then it did, but need to use it for portrait as before I would focus on the eye and the ear would be sharper compared to the eyes.
