Nikon D750 & D780

Another from me from Yosemite, well below freezing, grateful to meet fellow photographers that dragged me along a trail to get this view (yes, I was cr@pping myself about meeting a bear - especially as I'd had a snickers for breakfast!!!)

It's not so much a case of can you run faster than the bear, as can you fun faster than your fellow photographers. :-)

I can see how the fuji thread got so high now.
Someone seems to have quoted nearly every post and replied to then individually ;)

Damn, failed lol

What camera bags do people use? I have an old Lowepro Flipside thing that is battered and not quite large enough to hold all my gear; it's a bit tight when the 300mm is in there.

Depends how much gear I'm carrying. My biggest is the Flipside 400, big enough for my D750 with 150-600mm attached plus afew other bits and bobs.

Im after a new bag after selling mine on.

Options so far are Think Tank Retro 7 or Citywalker 10/20 or im thinking of a new backpack or flip type bag.

Need something for 2 smallish primes and 70-200 F4. Was looking at a lowepro photo hatchback but it will struggle for room I think.

I ideally want something that can take the 70-200 F4 but not bee too massive without it lol

It's not even December. Humbug.

35mm/f2 ;)

Cheers, I do like my flipside - it is just battered! I may just replace it

I am tempted by one of the thinktank sling bags, they look much better than my crumpler!

Yep, have one of those, and you're right! Only one lens a rocket blower, & few filters (and your purse if you're a lady ;) in the top compartment - another lens like 50mm f1.4 if you're a man) and I love that you can attach the tripod without too much faffing!

I also have the Stealth Reporter 300AW which will take (with careful packing) a 70-200 f/2.8, Lee Filters pouch with about 4 filters inside, camera with lens 50mm 1.4 attached, 2 other lenses if small, 1 if not.... purse, memory cards, rocket blower and usual stuff like chocolate... ;)

However, both are fairly heavy when loaded, so I also use that Lowepro sling traveller bag - good for body and two lenses plus stuff and comfy to carry :)

But them you have to carry the tripod separately.... :(

So many bags, none of them perfect!

Thought I'd share this with you as it might effect anyone using a slightly older Sigma lens (sorry if already discussed, I didn't fancy the long trawl through the posts ;) )

My Sigma EX DG HSM 50mm f/1.4 which I bought in 2012 will focus normally, however, if using live view, will not focus at all but will show the green square on the screen suggesting your image is focussed...

Took it into LCE today (love those guys!) They checked and for the cost of the return post, Sigma will re-chip it and it will work on the D750.

Hope this helps anyone who's had this issue! :)

It has already been discussed but never hurts to mention again for 'new folk' ;)

So, cameras been away over a week now, so phoned Nikon who said it's still waiting to be looked at (which I knew from the online tracking) but now marked as urgent without too much pushing from me.

Now let's see if it makes any difference!

I reckon by the end of today or tomorrow it'll be marked as completed ;)

I want to try a few - need a big camera shop that stores them!

Lowepro Edge 250 (sling bag)
http://store.lowepro.com/slingshot-edge-250-aw

Thinktank Retro 7 (or the 10, but think the 7 is a nicer size)
https://www.thinktankphoto.com/coll...s/products/retrospective-7?variant=1237545731

Thinktank Citywalker 20
https://www.thinktankphoto.com/collections/citywalker-series/products/citywalker-20

Thinktank Suburban Disguise 20/30
http://www.harrisoncameras.co.uk/pd/Think-Tank-SubUrban-Disguise-20-Shoulder-Bag_T804.htm

They lowepro is a lot different - the other 3 are all shoulder bags.

Can anyone let me know how the Pinestone finish handles wear and tear? Not sure if I prefer it to the black!

My retro 7 is in pinestone and still looks new, a year on.
