Nikon D750 & D780

Ohhhhh... GAS! I need a new bag for my travels to Scotland.

I have a Thinktank streetwalker back ack which I find a bit big and ugly.

Needs to fit D750, 24-120, 70-200 F4, 50mm, maybe a small flash. Charger, batteries and BR Cross Shot strap.

It will be carried with me as hand luggage so some nice padding please, but nothing too bulky!

I'd recommend a shoulder bag of some description. I find that generally much easier to use and can put other gubbins in it and not just use it as a camera bag, I can vouch for Tenba and their stuff doesn't look too much like a camera bag IMHO.....have a look at their DNA messenger range (13 or 15 if you need to put a laptop in it) or if you fancy splashing out the cooper 13 DLSR or cooper 15.

:(:(:(:(

That sucks, guess they are made of chocolate after all :(

Can I join the club? Just brought home my new d750, battery charging as I type... Now I need to just upgrade my SD card. Any suggestions as to make/price/size/speed and avoiding nasty clones? Ta!

Sandisk extreme pro 95mbs. If you buy from a reputable dealer including amazon (but not amazon marketplace) you'll be fine.

This website s quite useful, it doesn't have the very latest cards for comparison but it gives you an idea of transfer speeds.

I did exactly the same. Those sandisk cards have really dropped in price, last time I saw they were under £35 for 32gb card.

Dropped my D750 with a 24-70 on it at a christening, fortunatley the lens wasnt damaged same cant be said about the camera tho!! costing £365 to fix (only just put a house claim in,so this ones coming out of my pocket)

That's gutting, I feel for you but at least it can be repaired. It's a shame the front isnt the magnesium alloy part rather than made of a carbon composite material. Looks like the mount took the brunt of the impact and transferred the force through to the body front.

I did the same Alan when I hadn't had mine long, the catch failed on the ball head and needed a new lens mount. I think it was around £250 from memory. Lens was absolutely fine.

Just looked on amazon and the 64GB cards are now £33.50! The 32GB cards are £21.99! That's pretty good prices, I'm tempted to pick up another but I already have too many memory cards!

I'm doing the same Rob. Got a wedding at the end of the year and so my 32gb cards could do with a couple of 64gb versions just to be sure. My backup cards are 64gb Samsungs which seem ok but always tend to use the sandisk.

I use a 64gb card in slot 2 that's never removed and swap in two 32gb cards into slot 1. It's the long trips away like staying on Skomer that make me think I need more than 64gb but then the reality of sifting through over 64gb of puffin RAW files brings me back down!

Exactly same, but for a wedding I kind of think that may as well not bother changing over as slot 2 is the back up anyway.

Was it a strap failure? Did it break or was this when the strap wasn't being used.

Or like the last time I was late due to a problem with the car. The problem was I didn't get in it early enough

Shoulder strap failure the clip didn't lock on, however I had noticed it wasn't working properly so made myself a wrist backup. However I was taking it off my wrist to show someone and actually bloody dropped it and this clip on the shoulder strap did fail. Time to buy a better brand!!

What strap was it?

Talking of straps, I'm really enjoying the new BR Cross Shot Breathe. It's much better than my previous BR RS7 Curve.

Also, what are those band things called that you can put on lenses to stop creep?

SanDisk extreme pro 95mb/s cards work well for me

SanDisk Extreme PRO 32 GB up to 95MB/s Class 10 U3 V30 SDHC Memory Card https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01J5RHBQ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_29zgyb1JNF59W

If you have a google around for memory cards there are test reports with the d750 to be found. Some newer memory cards that are faster on paper will be somewhat throttled by the cameras capability. So I would definitely look for UHS-I cards U3 95 mb/s.....in tests the Sandisk seem to outperform what other cards advertised on paper, at least for continuous shooting.

Also I've had some dodgy cards in the past that have failed, but none ever that have failed from SanDisk so I tend to stick with them. I am sure other will say they have had issues with SanDisk, but I think generally the failure rate is pretty low

Went for the meike version. think it was 53 quid from eBay. got the grip and tray holder plus a remote which looks really good to be fair. feels well made not cheap and cheerful like others I have purchased for my other cameras.

Always stuck with sandisk for the same reasons but as the Samsung had a very good write up thought I'd try them as the backup option.

Prompted me to buy a couple of the 64gb sandisk extreme pro's as xmas presents for someone ;-)

What was the cheap 3rd party battery recommendation again? I have 3 Nikon's but need another as backup for this wedding.

Going to shoot two bodies but have been hankering after the second spider pro clips for the single belt I have, but in the end I'm buggered if I'm paying £100 for it for one days use. I shall use the single system and have my second camera on my sunsniper strap.
