Nikon D750 & D780

Anyone sent there D750 back for the recall mods recently?
What's the real world turn around times like? Were you happy with the outcome?
Sent mine back 10th August delivered back to me 24th August so exactly 2 weeks. Was not working at all when sent only ERR message, and fixed effectively, only thing different was had to fine tune all my lenses quite a lot with my Tamron 70-200 needing to go +15, was bang on before.

That sounds familiar, and ominous :(

Rookie mistake. I asked a question in a different thread, forgetting that most answers to life can be found in the d750 thread!!

Where do folk buy their paper background rolls from?

I've ordered them from various places such as the flash centre, WEX and lastolite directly. Bought my latest pink one from calumet thinking it was rebranded colorama, which it isn't but I collected locally.

Cheers. What width did you go for.

I'm going to get a grey and possibly a couple of pastel coloured ones.

I've ordered full sized rolls and cut off the ends to about 2.2M so that I can get into the living room.

Also got a pastel one but thinking of another browny colour too.

Wish me luck.

I've just been booked to accompany Prince Charles and Camilla during their visit to the the UAE.

Two D750s and a 24-70 + 70-200 combo with an Fuji XT2 for fun.

Travel light to move quickly ;)
Break a lens!

Hi, Heres 3 from me, I`m in the South of France (lucky me) :-)
I took my O/h to the Verdon Gorge, its one of my fav places, so peaceful normally but today was full of bloody toutist from all over France and europe.
One of the biggest advantages is seeing the Griffon Vultures, Wonderful birds and what better way to see them "free" birds are the best.
A crop in LR.
Photos 2 & 3 are of this man without fear of heights, must be a 1000 ft up and just a safety rope keeping him from falling.
Still got loads to learn with the D750 so forgive if they are not that good, Sigma 24-105 art lens.

Are body's covered by insurance when sending in for the recall and using Nikons prepay service please? Thinking of selling and thought it might be best to get the issue sorted first even though I can't find any evidence of it.
I believe that they are insured. From my experience I wouldn't send it in before selling as it could come back with more issues than it went in with.

Took the 70-200 F4 out for its first outing over the weekend - pretty impressed so far.

Forgot to upload any pics to flickr so will do that this evening!

So my personal kit is now 24-120 F4, 70-200 F4 and 50mm f1.8g.

I'm having GAS about another lens, but not even sure why or what to look for!

I only do a wedding once in a blue moon so dont think I need anything more for that side.

Ohhhhh... GAS! I need a new bag for my travels to Scotland.

I have a Thinktank streetwalker back ack which I find a bit big and ugly.

Needs to fit D750, 24-120, 70-200 F4, 50mm, maybe a small flash. Charger, batteries and BR Cross Shot strap.

It will be carried with me as hand luggage so some nice padding please, but nothing too bulky!

I've finally found a bag that I'm happy with for small trips. Takes flash, 35 art, flashbender, 85f1.8g and spare cards/batteriesIMG_1477910067.434400.jpg

As a similar system, I bought a thinktank retro 10 which I love. Some have said they don't like the Velcro for security but I'm the opposite, prefer to be able to access quickly and it's substantial Velcro so not easy to sneak in. You can also close the tabs for noiseless, fast access. It's the perfect bag for two lenses, a body, flash and bits IMO. But, bags are such a personal thing, always best to try before you buy.

Well, I got a wider grey AND red/pink/pastel blue[emoji85]

Addictive, isn't it? Shadow (dark) grey? I have a couple of greys myself but do like the shadow one. Have the little lady's first birthday this weekend so will be using the pink for the first time :-)
